Project Overview

Key Project Features

The UNSW Village Green project involved a significant glazing installation to support the redevelopment of a key campus area. The scope of work included:

  • High-Performance Glazing: We installed 10.38mm clear laminated Low-E glass for all external glazing, providing a balance of energy efficiency, safety, and acoustic performance.

  • Specialised Window Systems: The project required a variety of custom systems, including bi-fold windows to create large, open spaces, and a unique double swing door with a double-hung window inside the door leaf.

  • Unique Design Elements: A key feature was the installation of faceted glass panels in place of curved glass, which required precise fabrication and fitting to achieve the intended architectural aesthetic. We also provided mechanical louvre doors with fixed horizontal and vertical blades to offer a different form of ventilation.

  • Finishing: All frames were finished with a durable powder-coated Duratec Zeus Whisper White and Duratec Intensity Desert Stain, providing a clean and lasting finish that complements the building's design.

The Result

The completed UNSW Village Green Redevelopment showcases a modern and functional glazing solution. Our work has contributed to a more inviting and visually appealing campus area, with high-quality glazing that is both aesthetically pleasing and compliant with Australian building standards.
