Project Overview

Key Project Features

The University of Sydney - Mallett St project was a significant glazing package for a multi-level building, designed to improve the building's facade and thermal performance. The scope of work included:

  • High-Performance Glazing: We installed 24mm Clear DGU Low E Glass for all external glazing. This system is crucial for a project of this scale, as it provides superior thermal insulation and energy efficiency, helping to regulate the building's internal temperature.

  • Specialised Window Systems: The project required a variety of window types, including numerous fixed glass panels, awning windows, and double-hung windows, all designed to meet the aesthetic and functional requirements of the university building.

  • Mechanical Louvres: To provide controlled ventilation and airflow, the project also included the installation of two-stage mechanical louvres in specific areas.

  • Custom Design Elements: A notable feature was the installation of a uniquely shaped architectural window, showcasing our ability to handle custom designs and complex installations.

  • Finishing: All aluminium frames were finished with a versatile Powder Coated to Standard Colours or Natural/Clear Anodised finish, providing a durable and aesthetically consistent look across the building.

The Result

The completed University of Sydney - Mallett St project provides the building with a modern and highly efficient glazing system. The combination of high-performance DGU and a variety of window and door types has revitalised the facade and created a more comfortable and energy-efficient environment, highlighting our capability to deliver a high standard of work on large-scale university projects.
