Project Overview
Key Project Features
The Tara Anglican School project was a significant installation for a modern sports facility, requiring a variety of high-performance and functional glazing solutions. The scope of work included:
High-Performance Glazing: For external applications, we installed a mix of glazing types, including 24mm DGU Low-E Laminated Glass and 6.38mm Clear Laminated Low-E Glass for superior thermal performance. In some areas, we also used 12mm Clear Toughened Glass, all of which were specified to meet AS1288 standards.
Automated Access: A key feature was the supply and installation of an automatic bi-parting sliding door with sidelights, providing a modern and accessible entry point to the precinct.
Natural Ventilation: The project also included the installation of a number of mechanical glass louvres, providing an effective and robust solution for natural ventilation and airflow within the facility.
Durable Finish: All aluminium frames and doors were finished with a Dulux Duratec Powder coating in White, ensuring a long-lasting and clean aesthetic that complements the facility's design. The client also had an option to upgrade to a custom Anodised finish.
The Result
The completed Tara Anglican School Aquatic & Sports Precinct showcases our ability to deliver a comprehensive and high-quality glazing package for a specialised educational facility. The combination of thermal-efficient glass, automated doors, and natural ventilation systems has resulted in a safe, modern, and highly functional environment for the school community.
