Project Overview
Key Project Features
The Pyrmont Community Centre project involved a comprehensive glazing upgrade to enhance both the building's functionality and aesthetic. The scope of work included the installation of:
High-Performance Glazing: We used 24mm (6/12/6) Low-E Double-Glazed Units (DGU) for external glazing to improve thermal efficiency. Frameless areas were fitted with 17.52mm clear toughened laminated glass, ensuring safety and compliance with AS1288.
Automated Systems: To improve accessibility and convenience, we installed aluminium glazed automatic sliding doors and motorised glass louvres, allowing for controlled ventilation and easy entry.
Unique Design Elements: A notable feature of this project was the fabrication and installation of several uniquely shaped glass panels, including a circular fixed window. These custom pieces demonstrate our capability to deliver on complex and intricate architectural designs.
Finishing: All aluminium frames received a Natural/Clear Anodised finish, providing a clean, modern look that complements the building's new design.
The Result
The completed project successfully provided the Pyrmont Community Centre with a modern, high-performing glazing system that not only meets stringent building standards but also incorporates sophisticated design elements. The new glazing has revitalised the space, creating a brighter, more accessible, and energy-efficient environment for the community.
