Key Project Features

The Opal Fernleigh project showcases our ability to deliver precise glazing solutions for a major aged care facility. The scope of work included:

• High-Performance Glazing: We supplied and installed a large new window in the reception area, using 10.38mm clear laminated glass. The project was part of a larger development that had to comply with a BCA Section JV3 Alternative Solution, which is a performance-based method for demonstrating energy efficiency. The glazing was specifically chosen to help the building meet the required U-Value and SHGC ratings.

• Aesthetic Finish: The new window was an aluminium-framed unit finished in a sleek Dulux Silver Reign, providing a modern and durable aesthetic for a high-traffic area.

• Custom Installation: The project involved a single, large window measuring 4200mm wide by 1220mm high, demonstrating our capability to handle custom sizes and provide a clean, professional installation.

• Compliance and Certification: The project required adherence to strict building codes and standards, and our installation contributed to the overall compliance of the building envelope, as detailed in the project's engineering report.
