Project Overview
Key Project Features
The Microsoft SYD06 project was a highly technical and security-focused glazing installation. The scope of work included:
High-Performance Glazing: For external windows and doors, we installed 32mm (10/12/10) Grey DGU Low-E Glass (GL01), providing excellent thermal and solar control.
Acoustic and Security Glazing: A key aspect of the project was the use of specialised glass to meet specific security and acoustic requirements. We installed 10.5mm V-Lam Hush Glass (GL02) for internal areas needing acoustic performance and 33mm Vetrogard Glass (GL03) in security offices, which is a forced-entry resistant glass. We also used DGU colourback glass for nominated external spandrel panels.
Specialised Framing: To complement the high-security glass, we used ALUFLAM framing for the GL03 items, ensuring the complete system met the stringent security specifications.
Automated & Manual Systems: The project included the installation of both automatic and manual swing doors. A single automatic swing door was installed, along with several manual hinged doors and fixed glass panels.
Custom Finish: The frames were finished with a premium DULUX Ace Black Matt for the exterior and a DULUX Duratec standard colour range for the interior, with colours to be confirmed.
The Result
The completed Microsoft SYD06 project successfully delivered a complex and high-security glazing solution that meets the specific technical and aesthetic needs of a modern corporate facility. The combination of high-performance, acoustic, and forced-entry resistant glass, along with specialised framing, demonstrates our capability to provide tailored and innovative solutions for projects with unique and demanding requirements.
