Project Overview
Key Project Features
The Ewan House refurbishment at Knox Grammar School was a significant project aimed at updating the building's glazing to improve functionality and aesthetics. The scope of work included:
High-Performance Glazing: We installed a mix of glass types to suit the specific needs of the building. External areas featured 6.38mm & 10.38mm Clear Laminated Low-E Glass for thermal performance, while internal areas used 6.38mm & 10.38mm Clear Laminated Glass. For internal bi-folding doors, we used Clear DGU Glass.
Modern Systems: The project included the installation of a variety of modern systems, such as manually operated commercial bi-folding door systems, single swing doors, and sliding windows.
Unique Design Elements: A key feature was the installation of a fixed shaped glass panel for a specific external window, which added a custom, architectural element to the facade.
Custom Finish: All frames were finished with a Powder Coated Dulux Duratec, providing a durable and high-quality finish with the color to be confirmed.
The Result
The completed Knox Grammar Ewan House Refurbishment has successfully revitalised the building with a modern and high-quality glazing system. Our work has contributed to a more functional and aesthetically pleasing environment for the school community, showcasing our ability to deliver tailored glazing solutions for complex refurbishment projects.
