Project Overview

Key Project Features

The Darcy Road Public School upgrade (Stage 1) involved the delivery of high-quality glazing solutions designed to support a modern, diverse learning environment. As the glazing contractors for Taylor, our scope was focused on creating bright, safe, and thermally efficient spaces across 45 permanent classrooms and various core facilities. Key features included:

  • Educational Grade Glazing: We installed high-performance glass across new teaching blocks, the library, and administration areas. The selection prioritised natural light penetration to enhance student well-being while maintaining strict safety standards required for educational infrastructure.

  • Integrated Window & Door Systems: The project required the installation of diverse systems, including specialized framing for classrooms and high-traffic entrance points. We provided functional window systems and durable doors designed to withstand the daily demands of a busy school environment.

  • Thermal & Acoustic Comfort: To support an optimal learning atmosphere, the glazing systems were engineered to provide superior acoustic insulation and thermal regulation, ensuring classrooms remain comfortable throughout the Sydney school year.

  • Architectural Finish: All aluminium framing was finished with a high-durability powder coating, ensuring the new facilities maintain their "first-class" appearance and resist wear and tear for years to come.

The Result

Our contribution to Stage 1 of the Darcy Road Public School upgrade has helped transform the campus into a vibrant, world-class educational hub. By delivering precision-engineered glazing and facade elements, we have supported School Infrastructure NSW and Taylor in providing students and staff with a modern, engaging, and collaborative learning environment. This project underscores our capability to deliver large-scale, specialized glazing solutions within the public infrastructure sector, meeting rigorous government standards and tight delivery schedules.
